Resistance’s commanders, heroically welcomed martyrdom: Ayatollah Khatami
A member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “The commanders of Resistance Front are examples of Quranic verses about trusting in God.”
ABWA Official Website – On Friday, October 1, 2024, a commemoration ceremony for the Martyr Hojat al-Islam Sayed Hashem Safieddine, the head of the Executive Council of Lebanese Hezbollah, and other martyrs in the Resistance path, was held by the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in the Imam Khomeini (r.a.) Courtyard of the Holy Shrine of Lady Masoumeh (a.s.) in Qom with the participation of related institutions.
On the sidelines of this ceremony, Ayatollah Khatami, a member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, in an interview with ABNA News Agency, said, “Resistance commanders from examples of Quranic verse “الَّذِينَ قَالَ لَهُمُ النَّاسُ إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ جَمَعُوا لَكُمْ فَاخْشَوْهُمْ فَزَادَهُمْ إِيمَانًا وَقَالُوا حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ” (Those to whom the people said: Surely men have gathered against you, therefore fear them, but this increased their faith, and they said: Allah is sufficient for us and most excellent is the Protector.) (3: 173). They are heroically present in this field and open their arms for martyrdom.”
Ayatollah Sayed Ahmad Khatami added, “The medal of the commanders of the Resistance Front is an example of the Quranic verse: “مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ قَضَىٰ نَحْبَهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَنْتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِيلًا” (Among the faithful are men who fulfill what they have pledged to Allah: there are some among them who have fulfilled their pledge, and some of them who still wait, and they have not changed in the least,) (33: 23). These loved ones were examples of both “there are some among them who have fulfilled their pledge” and “some of them who still wait.” We hope that Almighty God will bestow the best rewards on these loved ones.”
