Unity Among AhlulBayt (a.s.) Followers, Historical, Religious Necessity: Ayatollah Modarresi
Grand Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad-Taqi Modarresi, in a meeting with the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly emphasized that unity among the followers of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) and their collective stance in the face of shared challenges and major crises is a historical and religious necessity that must always be upheld.
Grand Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad-Taqi Modarresi, one of the prominent Shiite sources of emulation in Iraq, in a meeting with Ayatollah Reza Ramezani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and his accompanying delegation, emphasized the central role of supplication (Dua) in the life of believers, considering it a decisive factor in shaping their path and destiny.
Highlighting the elevated status of Dua, especially collective Dua, in the divine teachings and the works of past scholars, he stated, “Collective Dua that include the broader community of believers are far more effective and are answered more swiftly, by the permission of the Almighty God.”
In this meeting which was held at Grand Ayatollah al-Modarresi’s office in Karbala, he rejected all grounds for despair or hopelessness in the hearts of the faithful, stressing, “Even in the most difficult circumstances and during the entanglement of crises, a believer must place his trust in Almighty God and continue his path with confidence in the grace of Imam Mahdi (a.s.) and by adhering to the guidance of divine scholars.”
Referring to the constant efforts of righteous scholars to promote unity within the Islamic Ummah, he underscored the necessity of such endeavors in today’s context. “Unity among the followers of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) and their shared voice in the face of common challenges and major crises is both a historical and religious necessity that must always remain in focus,” he added.
Later in the meeting, Ayatollah Ramezani presented a report on the activities and programs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in strengthening unity among Shiites worldwide. He also raised several concerns and challenges ahead in this field. Concluding his remarks, he expressed his gratitude to Grand Ayatollah al-Modarresi for his valuable guidance and fatherly advice.
